Stacy W. Reaves

Stacy W. Reaves is an independent historian and consultant. She is the Sr. Historian for Reaves Research and Consulting. A private contracting company that performs research for organizations, government and others. Projects have included oral histories for Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, National Register Nomination Update for Fort Frederica National Historic Site, Girls Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma Museum.

In addition, Dr. Reaves has used her historic preservation degree as a curator for the United States Army Fort Sill, Sapulpa Historical Society and as the director of the Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum. She has also worked as a museum technician and seasonal interpretive park ranger for the National Park Service at Shiloh National Military Park and Fort Larned National Historic Site.

Reaves’ writings have appeared in the Chronicles of Oklahoma, Journal of Military History and the Journal of the West. She is the author of  A History and Guide to the Monuments of Shiloh National Military Park and A History and Guide to the Monument of Chickamauga National Park  and A History of Andersonville Prison Park Monuments by the History Press.
